Itovebi-based treatment is for patients who have been diagnosed with but not yet treated for hormone receptor-positive (HR+)/human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2−) metastatic breast cancer with mutations in the phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha (PIK3CA) gene.
It is an oral prescription medicine that is used together with the oral medicine palbociclib and a type of hormone therapy injection called fulvestrant.
Itovebi-based treatment targets 3 of the key pathways that help PIK3CA-mutated cancer cells grow.
*Itovebi-based treatment may affect both healthy and cancer cells, and cause side effects. Please see Important Safety Information to learn more.

PI3K
A type of protein that transmits signals in cells and is involved in cell growth
Phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha (PIK3CA)
A gene that helps make the PI3K protein. Mutations in the PIK3CA gene may cause PI3K to become overactive, which may make cancer cells grow
